We are pleased to make the 2013-2014 Impact of Giving, which highlights the generous support of our loyal friends and alumni —like you—that helped us achieve many successes this year.
This year was one of celebration. We relived the 1964 commencement address delivered 50 years ago by Rev. Martin Luther King, and the proud moment when Springfield College stood up to those who were adverse to his visit. We marked 50 Years of Women’s Varsity Athletics at Springfield College, and we welcomed our 13th—and first woman—president, Mary-Beth Cooper, PhD, DM. In May, we sent 1,588 graduates with Springfield College diplomas in hand out to change their corners of the world.
While these were our priorities, we know that you have many of your own, and our students are appreciative to be among them. They know their college experience is unquestionably unique, as they have said in countless student satisfaction surveys. They report that they are getting a quality education that will add value to their lives and the lives of others, and that they are having a great time doing it. This would not be possible without the contributions of individuals like you.
We are tremendously thankful for your continuing support.
